Which of the True North Values excites you the most and why? (Drive, Greatness, Team)

Actually, all three of these mean something to me. Here is why, Start with TEAM- whether you are a sports fan or play sports or just about anything you do in life is a team effort. Marriage is a team effort, Golf is a team effort, the player and the caddy. Formula one racing is a team effort, driver and pit crew, Boxing you have a coach in your corner. There are very few things in life that if you really look hard at it, there is someone next to you be it a coach, or someone there to lean on in your corner. With that comes DRIVE- the team motivates you or drives you and brings out in a person the best performance they can muster. By motivating each other on the team to bring your best, that’s when you achieve GREATNESS- you become a driving force that can not be stopped and as you increase that momentum of GREATNESS, YOU set the bar for everyone else, what the expectations are to be and how the game is to be played.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Outside of work I spend my time with my two girls, Kamdyn (9) and Kaesyn (6) Single dd raising two beautiful girls. If I get any free time to myself, I competitive shoot long range competitions local and regional.

What excites you about the Lanscape industry?

I grow up in a small farming community in the middle of Kansas, later in life I joined the Marine Corps and spent my young adult life around the world intrenched in many different cultures. Through all that, I learned that 90% of this world is an agricultural type of culture not much different from how I was raised. Working with nature and plants is one of gods great creations and being able to bring that and share the beauty with clients is one of the joys I get in working in this industry. One of my favorite quotes “It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.” Miyamoto Musashi, The Book of Five Rings.
